Institutional Proposal
The first stage of our accreditation process involves the Institutional Proposal (IP), which is the basis for our self study. The IP is tied to Cal Poly's mission, identifies themes whose pursuit will significantly and meaningfully advance the institution, and explains why these initiatives were selected.
The development of the IP by the WASC Institutional Proposal (WIP) Consultative Committee began in May 2007. A small working group met during the summer of 2007 and prepared the synopsis of a draft proposal, which was shared with campus constituents during the early part of fall quarter, 2007. The proposal was submitted to WASC on October 15, 2007, for review and approval. Please read the proposal (PDF) and see what themes we will investigate during our self-study.
