Institutional Proposal
The development of the Institutional Proposal (PDF) by the WASC Institutional Proposal (WIP) Consultative Committee began in May 2007. A small working group met during the summer of 2007 and prepared the synopsis of a draft proposal, which was shared with campus constituents during the early part of fall quarter, 2007. The proposal was submitted to WASC for review on October 15, 2007, and approved on December 12, 2007 (WASC Approval Letter (PDF)). The Institional Proposal is tied to Cal Poly's mission, identifies themes whose pursuit will significantly and meaningfully advance the institution, and explains why these initiatives were selected. The themes currently under investigation in the Capacity and Preparatory Review are:
