Site Visit - April 27-29, 2022

Cal Poly will host a WSCUC visiting team April 27-29, 2022. Both the university and WSCUC encourage campuswide participation.


During this visit, members of the WSCUC visiting team will hold some 30 meetings with members of the university community. These include meetings with university leaders and campus groups whose work relates to the self-study themes of DEI and student success.


Open Forum and Exit Meeting

There will be three open forums on Thursday, April 28:

  • Student Open Forum Engineering IV (No. 192), Room 106
    11:15 a.m. — 12 p.m.
  • Staff Open Forum Robert E. Kennedy Library (No. 35), Room 209
    11:15 a.m. — 12:15 p.m.
  • Faculty Open Forum  Architecture (No. 5), Room 105
    11:15 a.m. — 12:15 p.m.

The final event of the site visit will be a university-wide exit meeting on Friday, April 29 from 11:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m in the University Union, Room 220. At this time, the team will share their initial comments to the campus community.

  • Amanda Brey, Director of Program Review and Accreditation, University of California, Santa Barbara (Team Assistant Chair)
  • Melany Hunt, Dotty and Dick Hayman Professor of Mechanical Engineering, California Institute of Technology
  • Maureen Scharberg, Accreditation Liaison Officer and Dean of Academic Programs & Services, California State University, East Bay
  • Becky Petitt, Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, University of California, San Diego

The team will also be joined by our WSCUC liaison, WSCUC Vice President Susan Opp. Dr. Opp previously served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at California State University Maritime Academy and has been our guide through the TPR process since January 2020.
